Just Look Around

So you want to build your team but you're not sure where to find your next recruit lead? Just look around! Use the following list to help you think of those you've met recently who need you to invite them to take a closer look at how to supplement their income with your career opportunity. Just look around for someone who ...

1. Likes your products
2. Wants flexible hours
3. Needs a part-time income
4. Has sold direct sales previously
5. Wants to stay home with children
6. Recent empty-nester
7. Retired - needing extra income/involvement
8. Wants opportunity to move into management
9. Appreciates your company's philosophy
10. Wants to have a fun career
11. Enjoys meeting/working with people
12. Current job is downsizing - needs security
13. Has an excellent personal network
14. Enjoys making a difference in others' lives
15. Has children - needs a personal outlet
16. Has older children heading to college
17. Has always wanted to start own business
18. Temporarily out of work
19. Guests who ask lots of questions
20. Catalog show hostess
21. Guest who lingers after the show
22. Nods their head when you talk about the career

Then make contact with each person on your list -

"Sarah, I understand you (mention above category/need). I'd like to invite you to take a closer look at (your company). Let me treat to coffee tomorrow so I can show you how (re-state need) and (your company) can work together."

When you meet together, be prepared with some questions so you listen more and your lead talks more.

1. What is it that has drawn you to (your company)?

2. If you were to join, what would be your expectations of your business?

3. If you were to join, what would you like your career to do for you/your family?

4. If you were to join, who are the first 10 people you will tell about your new business?

5. How much time do you see yourself being able to dedicate each week?

6. What day of the week would be best for you to hold your shows?

7. What date in the next 2 weeks is best for your Starter Show?

8. Who do you think will be your first 6 hostesses?

9. What dates will you reserve for them?

10. What 2 days in the next 2 weeks are best for us to set up your training classes?

Close your conversation with, "Sarah, is there anything else we need to discuss/any questions you have before you give (your company) a try?"

Want to build your team? Just look around!
